I work on Cardano node diversity — consensus and deterministic simulation for Amaru — and consult on satellite operations and distributed systems. I am the author of Reactive Design Patterns, a co-author of the Reactive Manifesto, and I taught the edX course Programming Reactive Systems. Previously I was CTO and co-founder of Actyx, and led the Akka project at Lightbend. I hold a Dr. rer. nat. in particle physics from TU München. I spend most of my life in the central European timezone.
